We have recently completed work refurbishing the East Block at Birmingham Christian College in Selly Oak. This is part of Birmingham University and the college lease various buildings from B.U. The East Block consists of offices, meeting rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms as well as kitchens to form residential accommodation for students who study there. The block has been derelict for some years now and refurbishment work consisted of decorating throughout the entire building, plastering where necessary, new carpets, installing bathrooms and kitchens etc.
As well as this we installed a complete central heating system throughout the building consisting of 2 boilers and 35 radiators. We also carried out major electrical re-wiring. Having completed this project, which the client was very pleased with, we are now planning to start another project for The Christian College. This will involve developing another derelict building into study rooms, meeting rooms, a library, kitchen and toilets. Work is due to commence in June to be complete by Christmas. We will be writing about that on our blog in the near future.
Update: Currently at the demolition phase.
