We completed the work at The Priest House, then the same client asked us to carry out the refurbishment of flats and shops in Warwick Road, Tyseley, Birmingham. This consisted of 2 shops on the ground floor and 8 flats above on the 1st and 2nd floors. 4 of the flats were occupied and 4 vacant. The major part of the work concerned fire precautions as the 4 steel external fire escapes had to be removed as they were no longer functional and the entire building had to be compartmentalised by fitting fire doors to every room of the flats and all the common areas. The flats were generally refurbished throughout by fitting new kitchens, bathrooms, decorating, flooring, fitting new fire doors, along with some new windows. Along with a re-wire throughout the entire building and a fire alarm, central heating was also installed in each of the flats.

Externally the building was re-pointed and decorated with some groundworks carried out in the rear garden area to tidy it up and install a new water service to remove the old lead pipes. Again, as with The Priest House we had to work around tenants living in the flats and the shops, but this was done sensitively without any conflict. This project is now virtually complete and the new flats are currently being let by the managing agents, Shortland Parsley.
